A great workshop that uses Samuel Peypes diary extracts as an eye-witness view of the fire, but we also look at the fire from the angle of a fire fighter together with some of the equipment they would have used. There will be a chance for some of the pupils to use, amongst other things, a water squirter to show them the small means available to fight the fire at the time. We also take a look, using model houses, at why the fire spread so quickly
